Q: I pay my student’s rent each month and I have a question about the lease, the apartment or the whereabouts of my student. Why are you unable to answer my questions?
A: Although your student has given you access to their online portal, due to FERPA and Fair Housing laws, we are only able to speak to the lease holder regarding the apartment or any apartment related issues. Therefore, please ask your student to follow-up with the Campus Housing Manager and she will be more than happy to assist the tenant.
Q: My student would like furniture added inside his/her unfurnished apartment before they move in. What can they do?
A: Your student should send an email to GoodmaD@evms.edu or call 757-446-9236 and our Campus Housing Manager will be more than happy to assist.
Q: How do I pay my student’s rent so they do not have to worry about that rent each month?
A Your student should give you access to their online portal. They can do this once they have signed their lease and they officially become a resident at EVMS Campus Housing.
Q: Can my student have a roommate of the opposite gender?
A If your student is interested in sharing a two bedroom apartment and they would like a roommate of the opposite gender, then that is satisfactory with us. All potential tenants can specify roommate preferences when completing the online application.
